Jesus agrees to go and the crowd surrounding them goes too. But in this crowd is another female who needs healing. Whereas Jarius’s daughter has been well-loved for 12 years, for a dozen years, this woman has not been cared for in love. She has been an outcast.
Maybe this was the work that was to be displayed in this man's life. Showing that the Person who had created the first man with clay was using clay to heal a man's eyes.
It is not to Ilium that we should look for wisdom, but to Israel. To the personification of wisdom sitting on a mountain teaching His followers about the blessings of following Him.
Why can we trust Him and His omnipotence? For He sees us and says, “There are 8 billion of you, and you are all of more value to me as if you were the only one.”
From the first breath of Adam to His last breath on the cross, Jesus is the beginning and the end.
In the frustration of feeling like our identities are merely costumes for those playing a role, the power and beauty of the incarnation becomes clear.
