In the Old Testament, the prophets filled an opposite role as the Priests. The priests were mediators, prophets were messengers.
Frankly, this makes sense.
Did Mary and Joseph realize that as Great High Priest, Jesus, had to shed his blood in a gruesome, violent death?

Without the tree, Jesus had no reason to come to earth, the New Testament is void, the Old Testament useless and death ravages the earth.

I walked a mile from my car and stood there for about 50 minutes, and by that time, my feet were hurting. Truthfully, if I'm disliking the pain in my feet after a 1 mile walk and a few minutes standing around, what makes me think I can run a marathon?
